    Data Source Integration Engine (ABAP):

If the SOAP XI 3.0 connectivity does not work (e.g. if the ABAP System is a PI Integration Server), please use the WS Runtime Channel template instead (IMS_Backend_WS_7xx).

You also have to create a service in the backend system using transaction SOAMANAGER:

    • SOA Management: Service Adminstration -> Web Service Configuration
    • Search for Service Definition (ABAP Proxy) /WHINT/INTERFACE_MONITORING
    • Create Service
    • Add e.g. SOAP as Service Name and Binding Name -> Next
    • Select User ID/Password as Transport Channel Authentication -> Next
    • Finish

Assign the following role (or the equivalent profile) to the communication user in the ABAP System: SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_CONSUMER

Correction for Data Source Integration Engine (ABAP):

    Error:

    • Snapshot contains messages with state "Completed" or "Manually Cancelled".

    Solution:

    • Apply latest ABAP transport provided by Whitepaper InterfaceDesign

    2. On the File tab, click Options.
    3. In the Options dialog, click Mail.
    4. In the Message format section, clear the Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages check box.
    5. Click OK.

For Outlook 2007 or earlier versions:

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
    3. On the Preferences tab, click the E-mail Options button.
